In March, Kevin and I (along with our friends Paul and Jenn, aka the baby sister that my mother was too selfish to give me) went on a cruise through the Panama Canal.

10-year-old me would be thrilled.

NGL, 59-year-old me was pretty thrilled, too.

The thing about the canal that surprised me, though, was how small it is. If I could throw a ball with *any* skill (a problem long-lamented by my baseball-coach father), I could have played catch with Panamanian kids on the shore. Was NOT expecting that.

However, that was strangely not the highlight of my trip. First, THERE WERE DOLPHINS!

Look close because they are fast!

But the most amazing thing that happened in the entire two week+ trip actually happened very early on, in our trip ashore in Colombia.

Friends, I fed a parrot.

I wasn’t lying to her. She was, in fact, such a pretty girl.

And those were the highlights. Headed to Canada and Bermuda (I know, weird) in four months and while I expect to fail, I will endeavor to feed something.

Love y’all.
